Cray Developer Toolkit (CDT)
The Cray Developer Toolkit (CDT) module effectively changes the default version of a software component modulefile to be the version associated with that specific CDT release. Using more recent packages may result in faster execution of the code.
For example, a "module load cdt/16.06" and "module load cray-mpich" will result in cray-mpich/7.4.0, the version released with CDT 16.06, being loaded. A subsequent "module swap cdt/16.06 cdt/16.08 " or "module load cdt/16.08" will result in switching to the new release of cce/8.5.2, cray-libsci/16.07.1 and cray-mpich/7.4.2.
