Chapter 6: Tracking Core Hours

Resource Accounting

On Shaheen II, you can use the command:

sb <project-id>

From this website, you can check your project allocation and usage from https://www.hpc.kaust.edu.sa/reports/ksl.project_remaining (must login first).

Allocations

Allocations for the computational resources on KSL systems are being managed using a program called "sbank." Users have access to this system via the "sb" command.

Refund Policy

The enhanced complexity of the new-generation supercomputer at KSL increases the probability that a job might be affected by a failure. Therefore, we strongly encourage all users of the system to write regular checkpoints from their applications to avoid losses of CPU time when a job is aborted. There will be no refund of CPU time in the case of a failed job!
